Level 1 Coach
I became involved in triathlon in 2005, firstly as a supporter for my husband and then also for my children. The first triathlon I took part in was at a women’s only event in 2008, held at Dorney Lake.
Owing to my interest in triathlon and working with children, I was approached by Swale Council in 2010 to help set up a small children’s triathlon club at a local school. This enabled me to start my coaching qualifications.
I have been a member of MedwayTri from the beginning. At first simply as an athlete, then as a member of the coaching team as well. I feel I understand what athletes go through, as I do not always find the training easy myself.
