Level 2 Coach
I was born in St Petersburg, Russia in 1973, where I enjoyed a distinguished early sporting career as a swimmer, competing at District and National Level, culminating in bronze place finishes in the National Championships two years running at the ages of eleven and twelve.
In 2002, my son and I moved to the UK and began a new life in my husband’s home town of Dartford in Kent. My second child Natasha was born in 2007. In order to get back into shape, I started running and competed in a number of half marathons which I enjoyed greatly. In 2010, the David Lloyd Centre in Dartford held an indoor triathlon competition which I won. More importantly I discovered the sport that I now love.
I have represented GB as an Age Group triathlete on a number of occasions with the following results: European champion in Kitzbuhel in 2014, second in my Age Group in the World Triathlon Grand Final in London in 2013 and second again in the European Championships in Geneva and Lisbon. I also held the title of overall English Champion in 2014.
My son used to compete as a Junior and Youth at elite level and was a member of the South East regional triathlon academy, so I often used to coach there and still try to help when I can.
Last year I decided that I would like to concentrate on coaching more than competing to share my experience and to help others to achieve their potential. I coach the Tuesday swim sessions for developing and intermediate level 1 juniors and adults and also offer one-to-one sessions focusing on technique and stroke.
I currently hold a Level 2 British Triathlon coaching certificate.
