The Medway Tri Aquathlon

 - Medway Park, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 1HF

2019 Results Now Available

Congratulations to all participants who braved the winter weather. Results from the day are available opposite.

For your next challenge take a look at our upcoming Medway Tri Duathlon (Cyclopark Gravesend) - Saturday 4th May. This race is an opportunity for children aged 8 - 16 and adults to participate in a duathlon (run-bike-run) at Kent's premier cycling facility, offering the safety of a traffic-free cycle circuit. The event will provide standard distance races for each junior age category and a super sprint race for adults.

Many of us are already looking to our events calendar for 2019 and what better way to kick things off than with MedwayTri's very own Aquathlon?

As in previous years, this event is aimed at entrants of all levels. There is a new adult race, with a distance of 150m swim and 1500m run; great for those taking their first tentative steps to multi-sport (or perhaps those wanting a target to get over the holiday excesses). The other categories are the same as last year. Ranging from 150m/1500 to 500m/5k, there is something for everyone and for ages 9 plus.

The course consists of a pool-based swim, followed by a run around the athletics track, and both have excellent viewing facilities for friends and family. All athletes will receive a well-earned finishers' medal. This is designed to be a fun event, and is a great opportunity to have your first go at a multisport race, but it still provides plenty of challenge for the seasoned competitor.

As this is a mid-winter event, the swim and run will not be continuous, but managed as two separate events with a break in between. The race will be professionally chip-timed and is a great way to kick off your early season preparation or to try out multidiscipline sports as a beginner.

With great facilities for both athlete and spectator, why not add The Medway Tri Aquathlon to your early-season race calendar.

Please note: We are offering a choice of race distances:

  • 150m swim, 1500m run is open to 9 to 10 yrs, and both adult men and ladies
  • 250m swim; 2500m run is for age 11 to 12 yrs
  • 300m swim; 3000m run is for age 13 to 14 yrs, 15-18 and adult ladies
  • 500m swim; 5000m run is open to both adult men and ladies

Please note: Your age group category is determined by your age on 31st December 2019 not by your age on the date of the race.
